Intertextual reference
To add to our current Beyonce split screen intertextual reference, we now have the Britney Spears song 'Hit me baby one more time' from 0.00 - 0.17 ; this is the bit where they are waiting in class for the lesson/day to finish, instead we are wearing our own clothes cause we are in sixth form but with the same concept.

Change of plans
At the last minute we decided to change the music video we would/will be doing because we faced a lot of difficulties such as having people failing on us such as our cast and so forth. so decided that we would make a video just using both Sonal and I, using our family as school as we felt it holds more security. Luckily the video we chose is within the same brief we originally started with.
Now we are doing a video to Cyndi Lauper - "Girls Just Want To Have Fun"

Cloning/Split Screen Elaborated
We have decided that we wanted to use the the idea of cloning when it came to the dance scene because we thought it would be easier to do also because it would be useful for the fact that we need as much equal footage of each member of the girl group, so this would also be a way to do this without running out of time or without it becoming un equal.
From 1.57 - 2.09; but instead of having us doing different things instead we are going to be doing the same dance but placed in different places wearing different things.

From 0.30 - 0.31; - 0.35 - 0.35.5; the split screen parts we want, we decided to do this because we felt that it would count as some of our close ups, which are required.

Schedule
We plan to start filming on Monday the 28th of November - where we go to the club to shot the main part of our video. We will be using our media lesson to start the preparation of the bar and get footage, hopefully getting all our bar scenes done.
On Wednesday the 29th November - we plan to have our photo shoot for our digi-pack and our posters.
On Friday 2nd December Lesson time - i should have a completed digi-pack and a rough design of my poster, to be edited and completed in my individual time.
On Friday 2nd December we will be shooting the scene where we get ready before the we leave to the bar and the scene where we end up at home waiting for our boyfriends to come home, which will be shot in Sonals house. At this stage we hope to have everything shot ready for editing on the following monday.

Choices
During the whole preparation of our video i have been looking at how we are going to edit our video and how scenes are going to be shot.
I looked at a couple videos such as Pussycat Dolls - 'I Don't Need a Man' and really liked the beginning of their video and how they had the sort of movie like look switching and changing the imagery without actually changing what they were doing as in dancing but by changing the background and the effect of the shot. (From 0.00 - 0.10)
Another video i looked at was the Danity Kane - 'Damaged' and liked the idea of having the close ups of our faces singing along with the song but changing to each member of our group, because its refers to the requirements of our record label seeing as we're a new group a we need all the recognition we can get, so i thought that this would be a great choice to use in order to gain this. (2.58 - 3.06)
As a group we also compared the Beyonce - 'Get me bodied' and the Beyonce - 'Lets Move' video to see which dance scene would be easier for us to use as a reference to Beyonce and came to the conclusion that Beyonce's - 'Lets move' would be easier, because the 'Get Me Bodied' video was abit to sexual which went against our ideology and was too hard to learn in such short time.
Beyonce - Get Me bodied( 1.58 - pretty much the end, using only specific parts)
Intertextual reference
We watched the Beyonce 'Lets move' video and decided to use her as an intertextual reference, because we believed that it fits our groups ideology about being strong and independent women who don't need guys to have fun and be active.
So we have decided that we are going to use the dance from 'Lets Move'; at 0:50 - 1:45
to link with our videos dance scene from 2:04 - 2:34, as a reference because its fits in with the beat of our video.
Another part is that from our video after our dance we have a part that says "Ladies leave your man at home" - and here we decided to use the running scene from the 'Lets move' video to illustrate the point "Ladies leave your man at home" because at this point we have the girls running in different directions empathising the split between the two sexes on this current night.

Settings (Indoor locations)
These are the pictures of our settings, inwhich will be the beginging and ending to our music video. We chose a pink bedroom because it is girly and goes with our logo and because we feel that when we dress up as men it will show a contrast and add to the humor.
We chose a plain and basically set living room because its neutral and not over the top, giving off a calm feeling as the living room scenes comes at the end empathizing the end of a long day or in this case a long night.
